Professor Daniel Figeys

Professor Daniel Figeys is the Director and CEO of the Quadram Institute, bringing extensive experience across government, academia, and industry, with a dedicated focus on systems biology, proteomics, and the human gut microbiome. Before leading the Quadram Institute, Prof. Daniel Figeys held the position of founding Director at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Ottawa, where he also received a Distinguished Research Chair. Prof. Daniel Figeys established the Ottawa Institute of Systems Biology and played a pivotal role in co-founding the SIMM–University of Ottawa Joint Research Centre in Systems and Personalised Medicine in Shanghai. Earlier in his career, Prof. Daniel Figeys was Senior Vice President at MDS-Proteomics, overseeing international teams across Canada, Denmark, and the United States.
