The Norwich Research Park Explorer Fund brings together the research and business community to identify new innovations that have potential to address business problems and ultimately, it is hoped, global grand challenges. Facilitated half or full day ‘focus groups’ will help ‘explore’ and crystallise early-stage opportunities and build connections that spark new collaborations, forge new relationships, and create new business ideas.

Outputs from these sessions help signpost to upcoming training and funding opportunities from our local NRP, regional and national partners. Some previous explorer forums have looked at:

  • Next Generation Compost- Challenges of microplastics
  • Soil Health
  • Gene Editing in Sugar Beet
  • Engineered Oil Seed Rape- applications as protein source in human food industry
  • Space Technology

If you have research you’d like to explore with industry for a potential project contact the Science Collaboration Manager or if you are an external organisation and want to have a discussion about the research community on campus, please contact the Science Collaboration Manager, Cansu Bayindirli.
